Hailing from the heart of California, Aleena Joy is a rising force in the music world whose story hits as hard as her lyrics. Of Samoan and Irish descent, she was born in San Francisco, raised partly in Modesto, and ultimately rebuilt her life in San Mateo—a city that witnessed her transformation from street survival to soulful revival.
After years entangled in addiction and street life, Aleena found sobriety, strength, and salvation in San Mateo. Embracing change, she enrolled in college and began a career in early education, where she has served as a preschool teacher for nearly nine years. Now, she’s preparing to close this chapter and transition into a new path in property management, all while pursuing her first love—music.

Aleena’s music is deeply personal and unapologetically raw. She describes music as her only refuge during her loneliest and darkest times. Her faith in Jesus and her commitment to self-betterment breathe life into every lyric. “The road to recovery is never-ending because addictions change,” she explains, “but every day I strive to be better.”
Her debut EP is a bold entry into the music scene, featuring three emotionally charged singles that showcase her depth, passion, and lyrical power. Most recently, she released her first music video for the track “Many Men”, a gritty and honest portrayal of personal struggle, loyalty, and inner conflict.
Currently working on her second EP, Aleena Joy promises to deliver even more soul-stirring content. Her music is not just for entertainment—it’s a ministry of emotion, experience, and empowerment.
With her powerful story, unfiltered artistry, and unwavering faith, Aleena Joy is not just another artist—she’s a movement in the making. Those who connect with her message are not just listeners; they’re family.
If you rock with her, you stuck with her.
